Have to part with Benaroya Vinyl

I hate to do it, but I'm in dire need for some $$$. I have a barely listened to copy of this that I'd like to sell. The packaging is slightly worn in one corner(showed up that way in shipping). I've only played a few songs so far from the vinyl. Anyone interested?

Thanks for reading.

  • Interested more than you can humanly imagine, but unfortunately I just don't the money right now either. It is by far my holy grail. Good luck and sorry to hear about your financial situation. I really hope it comes around!

I was hoping for around the $750 range. I'm not real familiar with what it's "worth" because I never really was interested in selling anything PJ related before. I've been informed that this is high. One of you sent me a link to an ebay auction that I'll follow to see what is most fair.

Thanks for all your interest. I'll be glad to know it's going to a happy home.

  • if you need the $$ that badly, just go with ebay and get market value for it....
  • I bought one used off eBay for $600 3-4 months ago. Opened and in great shape.

Hearing people have to sell it because there out of cash always makes me sad. I had a few times in my last few years of university, and maybe the first year and a half after where I was pretty broke. I got close to selling it a few times, but someone always scraped by. Its almost like a security blanket.. or at least it was went my rent and expenses were much cheaper....

try and tough through it.. its one of those things that would be hard re-obtain if you parted ways with it.
  • i got rid of mine a few years ago. its just vinyl....

nobody can take the 63 shows i've experienced away from me.

I want a used copy of this so bad, but I can't afford these $500-700 prices. I wish I could get one for like $300, maybe my day will come, maybe.

Unless I missed something I thought that 300-400 range was the usual price range roughly for an open, used Benny Hall isn't it? 700+ I thought was the unopened price. I've been watching these also for a long time for a used one...

I thought so too, offered a few people on the board $350 for their used copies and was quickly rejected, even taunted for being a "low balling time waster" in one case. This seller is way off on his price proposal, and the one on eBay is sealed and only at $580 and ending in 3 hours. Where on earth $750 came from I have no idea. Still optimistic to get one in my range. Waited this long, can wait longer.
  • open is 450 - 500+ ,sealed is 600 - 650+.ebay market

About 18 months ago a fellow fan (and 10C member) sold me an opened copy for $350, who knew that a sheet of plastic could increased it's value to $600-$700 weird isn't?

Still don't understand this sealed/unsealed debate. If it isn't coming directly from the manufacturer, I wouldn't trust anyone I don't know personally. It is so easy to re-seal something. I mean ANYONE can do it, and I mean anyone. I spent hours on end doing it at a past job at a movie rental place.

For this reason I'll never even think about buying a Benny.
Houston, Texas... Believe it or not, there are 7 million people here... must be a couple of fans who'd love to see you play.
  • Yeah... I've got a shrink wrapper if you need to borrow one  What it's worth is what someone is willing to pay for it! Ebay will get you what it deserves as anyone who wants one is watching all the time. Although, I think you should only sell yr PJ stuff if you don't want it and not just because you need cash.

Sealed doesn't mean anything to me. Who knows where they stored it. I have every album opened and immediately framed in glass frames and on my wall in a 70 degree constant temperature. Someone could have a sealed copy of something in their garage where the temperature fluctuates and it could be damaged even if sealed. I wouldn't pay these ridiculous prices for vinyl unless it was from an established dealer. Otherwise you have no idea what you are getting.
