    LMAO we did that this year we called it the Alcoholic Advent Calendar tree.. It made it three days into Dec. then my bro in law and roomate raped the bounty from the tree, and now it's bare.. damned alcoholics!!!

  • Pandora, just beautiful! My dad used to do the village except it was under the tree and we'd arrange the presents near the fireplace. He'd create mountains & hills with boxes underneath and use a mirror for a frozen pond with ice skaters. I was always in awe of that village as a kid.

    I love miniatures...trains, dollhouses, villages.
    My Pa built a beautiful seasonal planter that we did a holiday scene in when I was little. The little reindeer made of felt I remember and tiny stick trees.. We too used a mirror for the pond...now my village has the rink that the skaters move and it plays music.Not as much pretending these days.
    Through the eyes of a child its so magical to see the tiny replicas.
    I guess I try to hold on to the magical feeling, recapture the wonderment, even at the ripe age of almost double wooden nickle! :lol:
