Pandora, just beautiful! My dad used to do the village except it was under the tree and we'd arrange the presents near the fireplace. He'd create mountains & hills with boxes underneath and use a mirror for a frozen pond with ice skaters. I was always in awe of that village as a kid.

I love miniatures...trains, dollhouses, villages.
My Pa built a beautiful seasonal planter that we did a holiday scene in when I was little. The little reindeer made of felt I remember and tiny stick trees.. We too used a mirror for the pond...now my village has the rink that the skaters move and it plays music.Not as much pretending these days.
Through the eyes of a child its so magical to see the tiny replicas.
I guess I try to hold on to the magical feeling, recapture the wonderment, even at the ripe age of almost double wooden nickle!
