I believe Stone is playing today at the Sunset in ballard. A friend of mine spoke with Jeff Fiedler, who is also on the bill and he said Stone was playing. Sounds like a warm-up to wednesday's Hank Williams Tribute show at the High Dive in my neck of the woods Fremont. Sunset's site also says Mystery guest plus Jeff Fiedler and others. Jeff is amazing, so sounds great for $5, even if Stone doesn't show.

Stone did not play...the mystery headliner was the late, great Radio Nationals...a defunct alt country band. It was a great show - Jeff Fielder is a great guitar player. All the folks from North Twin were there as well...Tony D (who is also with Flight to Mars) played a song with Jeff. Hmmm, I was sitting at the bar, and I don't remember seeing Stone...

  • Yeah, Stone didn't show. I don't know but my buddy is friends with Jeff Fielder and he supoosedly told him that Stone was going to play. Oh well, Jeff and the dinosaurs were amazing. Sorry, If I got anyones hopes up.

I was there. Before, during, and after-party (Sunset basement). I didnt see him. Didnt matter to me though, the three bands on the bill were great. And Tim DiJulio (North Twin/Flight To Mars) was there...and made an appearence for a few songs with Jeff Fielder, one of which was a cool version of "Shake Your Moneymaker." Tim DiJulio picked up right where he left off only 16 hours before at the Showbox and fucking ripped it.

It is no wonder why McCready calls Tim DiJulio his favorite Seattle guitarist at this time.

I admit that at the FTM show when I worked myself to the front of the stage it was on Tim's side not Mikes
( my seat was on Mikes side- but I also want to mention- what a nice crowd at FTM, everyone let me in front of them! maybe they figured they were a head taller than me so whatthehell? )
They really complement each other well.
I wish I could have gone last night- but I was wiped from Sat plus I had to take my D shopping for prom.
However, I have my tix for the High Dive which I know will be another great show. :D
