Your imagination will probably do it more justice. I've got one strand of lights doubled over around the outside frame of the glass sliding door at my apt. Oh, and the wreath on the front of the door.

Back in Yankee country, in the midwest, they do the lights up big. It's awesome.
When we moved to GA it was a lighted candle in every window while I did my Beetlejuice impression! But soon with all the transplants we got some very cool displays.
A mansion on the lake has a display with a helicopter of lights and other very professional type 'moving' stuff like the elves and bears, a merry go round and skaters and carolers. It is gorgeous.
I love to go look at the lights but here you need to do it before Christmas. Back home the holidays include New Years and the lights stay on but here many turn theirs off the day after Christmas and the tree is out by the curb!

I'm loving the new LED lights, my bill is lower than previous years
but better than that is the cool effect they bring... very 70's disco ....
they reflect colored circles everywhere. You can also connect like 70 strands!

Ok these are not our lights, but ones we visit every year.

The first is actually a work mate of my dads and he starts assembling everything in august!!!

There's another 2 I haven't put up yet one is a street where about 70% of the residences do lights in a big way, and the other one who do it every year win the awards for the lights. My son calls it the party place! They have a golf buggy "train ride", a snow machine (really bubbles, remembering it is middle of summer here) and the whole front yard is decked out. Awesome!
