Neil Young song on Sons of Anarchy.

I'm not sure how many people here watch Sons of Anarchy...but they incorporate great music into their episode's... very effectively and powerfully. They just finished the third season with an incredible finale and they used a haunting version (slow, with piano) of Hey Hey, My My for the final scene. Amazing! It fit the story perfectly as well as the premise of the show overall.

It really sparked me to re-introduce myself to the entire Uncle Neil catalog. He has so many songs... that I usually forget one for a few years... hear it somewhere and then it feels like it's a brand new song again.

I know Pearl Jam sometimes tags Daughter with it. Can anyone point out the best PJ tag of HH,MM.

Ha! Dude how amazing was that finale? I sure didn't see that twist coming (well, until the ATF let them through when being chased by the Russians and nobody in SAMCROW questioned it). I hope they make it to a fourth season.

Their use of Hey Hey, My My was genius!

It is scheduled for a fourth season, it's real popular for a cable show or something they said. I did not see that ending coming either, I was real worried for my man Jax, he's so cool. Last season was real good as well and good music as well. Itunes has all the music available for a decent price, just type in Sons of Anarchy, and each season will come up. I downloaded the most recent that has the version of Hey Hey My My, yes, very haunting. The other EP to get is the one with Audra Mae covering Forever Young and Katey Sagal covering Ruby Tuesday, I know it's covers but they're done really well.

Yeah...the writing of the show has been incredible. In fact it's so good...I don't even care that none of them ever die (that type of stuff usually bugs me).

Thanks for the great tip! I didn't know the songs were available on itunes. I need some of those in my library. Hey...do you know where that version of HH, MM comes from? A remix? Is it even him?

Like I said they're covers, some obscure, but talented musicians and singers nonetheless. It's mainly a backing band called The Forrest Rangers with various singers, it's like they're the house band for the show. I suppose I'm just at the age where I don't mind covers as well, plus it's just such a great show.
