Glad to see he will be exposed to alot of new fans as he is on one of the biggest albums and tracks of the year with Kanye's latest magnum opus.

Anyways, been listening to For Emma lately, tearing up as I listen to Lump Sum, jesus what a song...

anyways, Im hoping any Bon Iver fanatics can answer a quesiton for me.

so the story has been told a million times. But he retreats to a cabin in michigan to figure things out, and records these songs on some cheap tape machine, but ive never heard who or what, or how those songs on crappy studio equiptment, bedroom recordings, then went viral so to speak and became for emma. How did he get signed to jagjaguwar?

its quite clear he made the songs that became For Emma for his own personal use, to get through that horrific time in his life. But how did he get to the next step?

The cabin is in Eau Claire, Wisconsin, where he went to college. Their live performancesvare amazing!

I'm fairly certain he released it in very low numbers himself,.. then it got picked up by a label and released with different artwork. i've seen two different covers for this record.
    Peace, Love.

Didn't vibe the Blood Bank EP so much. And when he breaks out that auto-tune shit, I auto-tune out. 'Emma' is brilliant. Been listening to that so much the last week (and trying to decipher some of the more undecipherable lyrics, too).
