Do cartoons count? Because Rudolph and Charlie Brown are the ones we always watch. But our absolute favorite Christmas cartoon is Mr. Magoo's Christmas Carol. If you haven't seen it, check it out. I bet you can find a cheap DVD on eBay. No kidding - it's great.

Christmas Vacation, Elf and Bad Santa made their yearly debut over Thanksgiving.

I also read my nephew The Tomten and the Fox. It is a holiday/winter story from Sweden.

Ooh! Me! Me! Me! Pick me to come to your LOTR marathon! I did just watch the extended versions... again... um last week but honestly any excuse will do. I'll sit in a corner, and I'll be as unobtrusive as an elf. I promise.

Also, love the movie version of "The Polar Express" and how eerie and creepy parts of it are.

For books, I'd have to go with "Little Women." And the movie version with Katharine Hepburn, or the one with Winona Rider.
