Haven't listened to it yet. It has Mercy on it which never appeared on a U2 release before. Looking forward to hearing it.

The local record store didn't have any of the Soundgarden singles or the Metallica albums. They said that it is hard for the small stores like them to get the Record Store Day releases. They said most of the releases go to the bigger chains.

I thought he whole point of Record Store Day was to help out the small independent shops? :?:

While I was there I picked up a Jimi Hendrix Smash Hits Dutch import.

Sounds like that store needs a better distributor. I live in a town of 30000 people and our local store is about the size of a shoebox, they had everything you could've needed.

I went on overload today picking up the Hendrix, Doors, DBT, Dylan, Springsteen, Metallica, Black Keys, Black Crowes, and Gaslight Anthem releases. Even got a Black Crowes 7" on clear vinyl for free from the store. It's a promo that they got to give away and it's got "Boomer's Story" on the A-side, and "Willin'" on the B-side.

Vinyl does get pricey, but hey...you could spend it in a lot worse ways, right? Cheers fellow music nerds!
