  • I picked up a really good mixed Christmas CD called Now That’s What I Call Xmas when I lived in the UK. It was a three-CD set which I'll list out for you. However, the emphasis is on UK artists/bands, some of which kinda suck, so be forewarned :lol::lol: Overall though, the number of classic Christmas tunes cancels out the one-hit, top-40 wonders (and when you shuffle the playlist you don’t really care too much, one way or the other ;):D )

    Disc One:

Happy Xmas (War is Over) /John & Yoko & The Plastic Ono Band With The Harlem Community Choir

(Everybody's Waitin' For) The Man With The Bag / Kay Starr
    Little Town / Cliff Richard
The Twelve Days Of Christmas / The Spinners
Rudolph The Red Nosed Reindeer / Burl Ives
While Shepherds Watched / The King's Singers
Silent Night Holy Night / Sinéad O'Connor
    Gaudete / Steeleye Span
In The Bleak Midwinter / Bert Jansch

I have this very cd... I actually have a few Christmas CDs... but this one is pretty good as it covers a few decades of hugely differing styles.
oh scary... 40000 morbidly obese christians wearing fanny packs invading europe is probably the least scariest thing since I watched an edited version of The Care Bears movie in an extremely brightly lit cinema.

Our most recognised retail outlet in Australia, " Myres", put out a Xmas CD and already the " do gooders " are trying to have it band for being insulting to the shit they all pretend to be at Xmas.
Luckily for us, a bunch of larikins got up and told them to stuff it up thier arse.
So if your interested, his name is Tim Minchin, a great Christmas song.
