Boston September 1998 - throw a fucking quarter

Listening to the 9/16 show at the end of "Go" where Ed blows up because someone is throwing quarters at him during the song. Go over to pearljam bootlegs website and give it a listen. Great show, but wow. I was getting all into it listening and then BAM. Why would you go to a show and disresepect someone like that? :?:

Yeah, I thought SOLT was a fitting next song. I wasn't surprised to hear EV say that. They sure play their balls off when their in Boston.

Funny you should bring that version up. Right when I first started listening to PJ, I really enjoyed Go from the beginning and so I went and downloaded a random live version of the song (that one).
Well much to my surprise when the songs ends and that comes up. Wow, BAM is seriously the best way to describe it, it just comes out of nowhere. Eddie was super pissed and I can imagine why. People can really be idiots and ruin a good time!
“If the world hates you, keep in mind that it hated me first. If you belonged to the world, it would love you as its own. As it is, you do not belong to the world, but I have chosen you out of the world.
The other funny one is the mohawk one. Apparently, Ed saw a guy in the audience with a horrible haircut. Ed brought the guy on stage and yelled at him. Only later, did he find out that the whole thing was a setup and the guy was really someone "behind the scenes." Ed got punked that day.
There was yet another time when people were throwing their shoes on stage. This also pissed Ed off and said something about how the local thrift store was going to be (kind of) happy upon receiving a ton of shoes.
