Sorry IDaho.. do you guys paint 'em blue to spice things up?

I never heard of these until a few weeks ago.
I had blue potatos the other night. They were good.
I was worried because i had blue potato chips the other day and they tasted like dirt.

But blue potatos make a good mashed potato. Then I made the left overs into blue potato pancakes.
They are gooooood.

But i didnt have blue poo.
Pick up my debut novel here on amazon: Jonny Bails Floatin (in paperback) (also available on Kindle for $2.99)

i saw a show on this a while back, the farmer said he designed them to appeal to kids.

i'm not eatin blue potatos, i'm not eatin purple ketchup either, i don't care if it's the same, it's weird.

when it comes to food, i fear change.

Idaho leads the world in genetics manipulation, but only with potatoes. Have you seen the ones we've created by crossing spuds with sea creatures? We have one that is bioluminescent, and another one mixed with a starfish that actually regenerates itself while you eat it. Haven't actually marketed that last one just yet, because one potato would last someone the rest of their lives...

Purple (or blue) potatoes are lovely. They have slightly nutty taste to them. Purple carrots are great too.

Note - these are not genetically modified. Just a variety of the vegetable.
