    We agree on something.

We do usually listen to our South Park christmas CD on christmas morning.

  • Christmas songs are the scourge of humanity. No wonder more people are depressed this time of year they have to listen to the same 6 songs about 200 times a bloody year. I swear to god if I have to listen to Cliff Richard with his FUCKING mistletoe and his BASTARD wine one more time i'm going postal

Man, we have 2 big oldies stations here in Boston and they both play Xmas music starting on Thanksgiving Day. Not that it bothers me because I rarely listen to oldies but my dad hates it. He ordered XM radio in his car just so he doesn't have to listen to the same songs on repeat. I even switched his car radio over to PJ radio and he said it wasn't that bad. I was surprised to hear that.

My wife likes to turn on Xmas music on Xmas day while the kids are opening presents. That's about it though. I can live without it.
He who forgets will be destined to remember.

  • Hmmm...I don't really listen to Christmas music but my stepmother plays it ALL THE TIME when I go visit during the holidays. I tend to run through my PJ Christmas singles quite a bit during December since I never really play them at any other time of year, but most of them are completely non-Christmasy. However, I do love those animated Christmas movies. But nothing new, only the "classics."

  • I fakking love Christmas, and I don't give a shit what anyone says, so fakk off. Nicely. Ho ho ho.

I start listening around the end of November.

There used to be a pub in town that had Christmas decorations and music all year long. I think the owner may have been dead. He was certainly slow serving us.

I feel that the day after Thanksgiving (the last Friday in November) is the right time to start decorating for Christmas and listening to holiday music. 8-)

  • Usually after Thanksgiving. Back when I subscribed to XM, I loved when they would start their holiday music channels. The traditional channel was the one that was on all the time especially while we decorated.
  • Usually only while I'm actively dong something Christmas-y (putting up lights, decorating the tree, etc.). For the most part I just get sick of it by the time December rolls around. Stores are putting things out now even before Halloween... Ugh. Two good tastes that do NOT taste good together.

I've also got a "Yule Log" DVD that shows a burning fire place for 4 hours - it's pretty rad.

My kids were playing the Chipmunks Christmas album in July just to piss me off.

Otherwise, usually after Thanksgiving the xmas cd's start coming out.
"You're no help," he told the lime. This was unfair. It was only a lime; there was nothing special about it at all. It was doing the best it could.

I don't think I ever really wanted to start hearing Christmas music until I had kids. True story. Kids can make you sappy and sentimental, watch out.

I start listening at Thanksgiving. I love Christmas music- the classics are great. But my favorites are the ridiculous ones by pop stars. Lady Gaga's Christmas tree from last year was the best one in years. With lines like

Light me up with me on top lets falalalalalalala
    and
The only place you wanna be is underneath my christmas tree

This shit is genius. And when I say genius I mean "what the fuck is this?" Its amazing.
