Yes, the new album out by Cee Lo Green. Includes "Fuck You!", a song I'm sure many of you have heard (and i gat dam hope you grooved to).
What are your thoughts on the album? Favorite song? Like the cover of Band of Horses?

Personally, I really freakin' like this album!

I normally don't like this kind of music. I didn't mind some of the stuff Gnarls Barkley did but never the less I don't usually listen to this music. A couple days I was on Youtube and i saw his music video for Fuck You and I really liked it, its catchy, sounds cool and is funny. The music video is also good too. Now I haven't heard his other stuff but if it's anything like his latest song then it should be a hit!

  • I think the CD is phenomenal. Cee Lo transports you back to the days of Motown. I love it. My favorite tracks are all of them. 2, 10 and the song Please(bonus track).

I'm so out of touch with the music kids are listening to today :D. I'd never heard of Cee Lo Green or anything by him, but I've found out in the last couple of days that his song is supposedly pretty popular.

I like "Fuck You" alot, but the album doesn't quite tickle my fancy.

  • and also Bright Lights Bigger City.

Just listening to this one now, what a tune! It's got a bit of a BIllie Jean vibe to it, which can be nothing but a good thing!

  • Just got done listening to the record all the way through............possibly the best record I've heard all year. Absoultely crammed with great melodies, and there's no doubt he's one of the best singers around. It took me a while to get past Bright Lights Bigger City - it's that damn good - but there are loads of stand out moments. Love Gun, Wildflower and Satisfied are all great tunes, and then there's Old Fashioned, one of the best ballads I've heard in ages - his voice it stunning on that track:

  • I found it really interesting that he covered "No One's Gonna Love You" by Band of Horses. A great pick for a cover and definitely a song that can easily be transformed into a soul-jam. Nice work. I've yet to check out the rest of the album aside from the Fuck You. Will have to check it out. A buddy of mine LOVES this guy. I have to say he's not bad.

After a few more listens, I gotta say that it just gets better for me! Bright Lights Bigger City is so groovy, Old Fashioned is beautiful, Love Gun, Cry Baby, and Satisfied are my other favorites right now.
And yeah, the cover of BoH is a great cover.
