1.Oceans, Who You Are, Light Years, All Night, Sometimes, Down, 1/2 Full. and its only been 2.5 shows into it.

2. Is it just me, or do they sound so fucking fresh already? I think they sound greater so far than the 06 tour, and I havent even gone to my hartford show yet.

3. They are listening to the fans more. The merchandise kicks ass,the poster policy seems cool, and the random seating for rows 1,2,9 and 10 are great.

4. Listen to evenflow from west palm beach. they actually slowed it down for once! same for given to fly. hell yes.

5. It looks like matts drum set got a little bigger from the youtube videos, could be wrong

6. Matts drums finally sound great for once, listen to who you are and the verizon boots.

7. Fuck off, the verizon thing is cool. The band is just going through a midlife crisis and wants to feel young... ;)

I would have to agree, having seen the first two shows and seen the band about 15 times now I can tell you I felt like I was back in the 90's with the Energy the band had and the amazing performances. Mike Is on fire! Eddie has been so into it and loving every minute of it or so it seems to watch him run around the stage again and really get the crowd into it! And Yes Matt is drumming his heart out. Of course Stone and Jeff are as tight as ever. I think its time to start a please play the South again Thread!

    Absolutely!
  • I was just talking to a friend about this and I said...

There is just something in the air this tour. It seems the band has experienced a re-awakening! Like they are playing like they feel the music running through their veins not like it's a job to pay the bills. The love is there again!

I think this tour will have them all fired up to make one of the most mind blowing, rock your socks off AMAZING albums we have seen in some time now! And then a huge tour after words that is just as incredible! :D Why not? I think it's safe to say at this point, with the amount of touring they have been giving us (completely spoiling us) that they view touring, playing/making music and connecting with their fans as a huge part of their lives. It keeps their blood pumping!

It's about time Matt gets his due...he's always been an awesome drummer, just think he's been underutilized. Bigger drums, bigger sound, but talent all the way!

judging by the verizon samples on the website the songs have been heavily compressed and sound really overproduced... i guess that's cool if you like that sort of thing but the echo is very cheesy to me.

What's this poster policy you're referring to? Does it make it easier to get posters?
I pledge to you a government that will not only work well, but wisely, its ability to act tempered by prudence, and its willingness to do good, balanced by the knowledge that government is never more dangerous than when our desire to have it help us blinds us to its great power to harm us.

You get a wristband and then get your poster when you leave the show..

  • So far the tour has been incredible. Not only are the setlists awesome, but the performances are very tight already.
My first PJ show to witness was at Bonnaroo. How is that for lucky?

Even Flow was slowed down at WPB? It was still pretty damn fast, but not the stupidly rushed pace of the recent tours.

And Given To Fly was once played faster? I didn't know that.

Even flow sounds slowed down to the pace of the 2000 tour....

Given to fly sounds back to studio form........In 2006, it was being played just a tad faster than normal.
