    I just didn't quite know how to respond, I felt I was defending myself but I will admit I got a little carried away
    with the help of eyedclaar, my apologies to everyone I ran off on a tangent of sorts and forgot I am dealing with people I can not see or hear and take written word at face value...live and learn I guess :D

    It's ok, lettinggo, You have been rather well-behaved,

    I just think with all the controversial subjects in this forum, and all the dissenting views,
    insults are commonplace, there's not alot of "self checking", lack of restraint is apparent,
    and alot of posts seem knee-jerk and attack-like.

    I like a good debate myself, but alot of debates on this forum seem rather uglified by immediate personal attack on either another person's intelligence or opinion. I believe the insulters are failing to recognize that by relying on the fallacy of "attacking the arguer rather than the argument", their own side of the argument is actually what is being compromised.

    The moving train forum, to me, seems like a breeding ground for bullish behavior instead of honest debate.

    I'm not saying all threads in the forum are this way. There are good debaters here.

    But from what I 've seen, insults, snide insinuations, belittling, and self-righteous behavior seems to be very common and, what's worse, acceptable.

    This is actually one of my favorite sites on the interwebs - it's great to be able to discuss things with a wide range of people. I usually learn something new every day, even if that "something new" revolves around mice and butt cheeks.
