I saw Metallica last night in Sydney.

Absolutely flawless show... set was a perfect and very heavy mix, the stage show was really cool and made us down in the pit fee like we were definately in the mix, despite being in an 18,000 seat arena.

Fucking awesome band! Truly!

Just sharing my thoughts and latest musical experience!

    saw them at bonnaroo.

did james keep yelling to the crowd? he was brutal in TN with his constant attempts at pumping up the crowd.

Nuh, not really. But believe me, he didn't need to. Last night was originally scheduled to be the 1st show in Sydney when the tour was announced. They sold out 3 shows in Sydney alone, then decided to fit another Oz tour in (as the first announcement sold out across thwe country), so they actually booked in September just gone. So, the crowd last night, whilst not being the first in Australia to see Metallica on this tour, they were the most die-hard fans, as these tickets went on-sale first. The crowd was insane last night!

  • Seen em 5 times, twice on the rail, awesome live, but lots of screw ups, and the set barely ever changes.

Seen em in Long Island, twice in Newark, 1 time in Albany and 1 time at MSG.

In Newark I saw in front of the poster hopethatyouchoke, pretty funny.

Tour has been going strong for two years already, how aren't they tired?

I was there last night too! I only found out at 4.30 that I was going (a mate cancelled last minute and needed to get rid of his ticket) I thought it was a really great show with a cool setlist, I bought the download card and I'll be downloading it when I get home tonight

The crowd were great for a midweek show too (remember PJ's midweek show in 06?)...

I caught them for the first time last November @ MSG, the second night, played Creeping Death and Fade to Black, it was fucking awesome!!! intense, the stage set up is something i would love to see PJ try sometime.
Very masculine crowd, probably 8 guys to every 2 girls.

Don't remind me. Worst crowd I've ever witnessed. It was embarrassing.
