Cornell sounded pretty good here. This performance was a good way of introducing my dad to Soundgarden; he seemed to dig them.

Nah I think many people share your sentiments. I've been a huge Cornell skeptic over the past few years, but in my opinion his voice sounded great on Conan. But yeah the mix was terrible, the vocals were WAY too low and the Kim's guitar seemed to overpower everything. Talk show performances typically sound bad though, even when the execution is stellar. Just glad to have them back.
