I like this one, but I think this one's better:

A little more rough around the edges. I guess the Live from Austin, TX release is like smooth whiskey, where Alabama Ass-Whuppin is closer to PBR!

I actually haven't hear Ass-Whuppin. Live from Austin, TX is probably one of the best sounding records ever though.
    7/2/06 - Denver, CO
    6/12/08 - Tampa, FL
    8/23/09 - Chicago, IL
9/28/09 - Salt Lake City, UT (11 years too long!!!)
    9/03/11 - East Troy, WI - PJ20 - Night 1
    9/04/11 - East Troy, WI - PJ20 - Night 2

All the world will be your enemy, Prince with a thousand enemies, and whenever they catch you, they will kill you. But first they must catch you, digger, listener, runner, prince with the swift warning. Be cunning and full of tricks and your people shall never be destroyed.

    Here you go...

Buttholeville --> Steve McQueen --> People Who Died. Still doesn't get better than that. And a killer version of 18 wheels (although Austin does have "the rest of the story").

Edited - Looks like the links aren't available anymore. Let me see if I can scare something up.
"You're no help," he told the lime. This was unfair. It was only a lime; there was nothing special about it at all. It was doing the best it could.

No one on here will probably agree and I'm not saying this is the best ever but this is a great live album. The first I ever bought.

I have listened to a lot of live recorded music and love live music a lot. But theres one live album that stands out from the rest and that is Townes Van Zandt Live at the Old Quarter. It is the pure beauty and pain of living, i.e. blues, and it is just about the greatest thing you will ever here. Ever since getting this album a year ago my mind has been a constant scroll of Townes's words.

    Everyday................is Pearl Jam Day.

    Except Sundays, that's Ed day.

The mind is like a parachute, it doesn't work unless it's open. FZ

Live, but not in front of an audience.
Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band's 2009 take on Darkness On The Edge Of Town.
From the Paramount Theatre at Asbury Park.
