    I started listening to one audio file of this book but it wasn't narrated by Thompson and the narrators voice didn't sound right, so I deleted it.

    I'll only listen to audio files if I can hear the original authors voice.

    it sucks. poorly read. feels like the narrator doesn't get it. i don't think i was able to stand more than 20 minutes of it.

    That must be the same one I started listening to.

    I think the only other person I could listen to reading this book is Johnny Depp, as he played the part brilliantly in the movie.

    I'd settle for Bill Murray who was also great as Thompson in "Where the Buffalo Roam" but Depp was near perfect.

    I can only do Audiobooks with the author or an actor that is already connected to the material.
