Rock Band 3 Question

Probably a dumb question, but eventually I want to get Rock Band 3 (mainly for the DL tracks of The Doors), but I was wondering if all the Pearl Jam songs that I DL for RB2 will still work on RB3? Will I have to put the RB2 disc back in to play the DL tracks? I'm assuming no since they are saved on my Xbox hard drive, but I just wanted to make sure.

Also, will I be able to use my RB2 instruments on RB3?

Thanks!

In addition to LukinFan's question, also see my question here about another Pearl Jam related Rock Band question...

It just occurred to me. I'm glad your question popped up!

I guess people will have no real right to complain about the track selection if they are the ones who picked them. Wouldn't that be clever?

Of course, if I remember correctly, the voting commenced prior to Backspacer being released and it's subsequent tour, therefore the Backspacer/2010 tour tracks on LO10L wouldn't have been part of the fan votes...

Yes. All the old instruments will still work will with rock band 3. And yes, all your downloaded tracks are on your hard drive so you will not have to change out discs.

You will likely be able to import all your rock band 2 songs to your rock band 3 library so you can access them through the rock band 3 disc. At least thats what they did for people who bought rock band 2 and already had rock band 1.

800 xbox live pts to import the rock band 2 songs. in order to import them enter the code that was used to download the 30 additional songs for rock band 2 on the back on the manual into the "enter code" section of the music store

also if you imported the rock band 1 songs into rock band 2, they will also appear in rock band 3

Ugh. $10 to import songs? That stinks.

i think it only costs money to import the actual rockband 2 setlist...not the DL content you paid for.

  • I'm wondering if the Pearl Jam tracks support the new pro mode. If so, I'm buying that new über-guitar asap
