Man, if you haven't had any action in a while, just take a flight somewhere and TSA will be glad to help you out.

And I realize this guy is batshit crazy, but he does make some valid points...

  • Full body scanners don't bother me. Personally I think that the TSA should use explosive trace detection systems. Scanners will work to see everything up close, but the ETD systems are less intrusive (if you are concerned what the agents will see with the scanners). Considering the recent news out of Dubai and Amsterdam, along with the Christmas day plot in Detroit, I say do whatever it takes to keep me safe and to keep from falling out of the sky at 32000 feet without a parachute!

Whose idea was it for the word "Lisp" to have an "S" in it?

Yeah, I don't really care of a screener sees me naked...
Believe me, when I was growin up, I thought the worst thing you could turn out to be was normal, So I say freaks in the most complementary way. Here's a song by a fellow freak - E.V

you are putting a lot of faith in every single one of these employees. a few exceptions and people are going to have some pretty terrible experiences in these screening lines.

they are trading a tiny bit of security for absolute humiliation.
  • Dosent matter if you care or not it's a violation of rights. And with every successful or not successful terror plot our rights will be violated even more. I'm looking forward to the required hand in my ass soon. I'll bring the lube.

There is a website that suggests if everyone opts out of the full body scanners, the system won't be able to handle the overload of people supposed to get pat-down screenings.

  • there's no way I will ever voluntarily comply to being searched by one of these machines.

I don't think I have a problem so much with the scanners, it's the increasing reports of TSA agents feeling people's "junk" for those that opt out. I really don't want some dumbshit TSA meathead with his hands all over my wife's breasts and between her legs. Even worse, I think I'd be thrown in jail if they ever did that to my kids. It seems that there are more and more reports of this happening if you elect to opt out.
  • Just came back from JFK, and didn't see one of these things anywhere. I'm glad I didn't, because I would have opted out, but still hated a full pat-down-- but I'd rather that than being blasted with whatever amount /type of radiation these things give off.

Yeah that's all pretty creepy. I think at the very least it should be ensured that the screener is the same gender as the person they are patting down. A man should not be touching women and children that way.

Searches are gender specific to the person.

I wish the big airlines would all fold and be replaced with a vast network of smaller air taxies and we wouldn't have to put up with all the BS that we do now.

I think they should be, and the TSA website says this, but I've read accounts of this not being the case. I know that if I fly (and it is much less likely than in previous years), I will bring a printed out version of what it says on the TSA site, but I have to tell you, my last trip on Amtrak was pretty stress free, if a little slower. If its under 1000 miles, we'll probably drive to wherever it is. There really isn't much good about flying anymore.
