Good news! R.E.M. will release their next upcoming in early 2011 and it's called "Collapse Into Now" and Eddie will sing on the song "It Happens Now". Patti Smith will sing on the song "Blue". Mike Mills talks about the album to Rolling Stone and Spin:

Same, though Amazon Canada vinyl prices are getting more expensive the local record store prices. That and the fact Amazon has been shipping various vinyl records in plastic sleeve packages, and not cardboard vinyl shipping boxes makes me avoid buying vinyl records from Amazon.

Looks like they took down the Amazon UK link. That sucks.

I am more than happy getting it from my local shop. They are pretty good at special orders if you want something they don’t normally carry.

Eddie sound at the very ends with some "aahh ohhhh ohh" and thats it.

Would love for them to come back. I actually enjoy Collapse Into Now. However, they are one of the only bands that when I hear them talk about not reuniting, I kind of believe it. Will eternally regret not seeing them one last time at Lakewood in Atlanta on the Accelerate tour.

I do also believe they will never reunite. I was fortunate to see them at that Lakewood show and so glad I did. The set list was awesome. I met Mike Mills once in St Augustine after the Baseball Project show. Extremely humble and great guy.

They have never wavered on that since, they are all absolutely firm its completely done. Which is such a shame. Stipe was such an enigmatic frontman, totally captivating and such a talent.
