Over on the Grateful Dead site they are putting up a song a day for download as a soundboard/high quality Mp3.

Yesterday was a nice 10 minute New Speedway Boogie from '70.

Today's song is Dark Star, downloading now...

"You're no help," he told the lime. This was unfair. It was only a lime; there was nothing special about it at all. It was doing the best it could.

    Missed yesterdays song.

However, it appears you can continue to pull them down using the following link:

    http://www.dead.net/fetchFile.php?file= ... mehere.mp3

With just putting the song name in the last section before .mp3, no spaces.

    So I've got

    1. New Speedway Boogie
    2. Dark Star
    3. Althea
    4. Playing in the Band
    5. Easy Wind
    6. Sugaree
    7. He's Gone
    8. Estimated Prophet
    9. China Cat Sunflower --> I Know You Rider
    10. Cream Puff War
    11. Saint Stephen
    12. The Music Never Stopped
"You're no help," he told the lime. This was unfair. It was only a lime; there was nothing special about it at all. It was doing the best it could.

Well, as screwed up as the dead site is (it's taken quite a few times to download some of these tracks), the tracks have been pretty stellar.

The Music Never Stops from today is killer, and normally it isn't a song that I listen to much, especially from the Donna Jean years.

I agree. Ive really enjoyed everything they have served up -- Im going to have a nice playlist on my ipod!

Also agree about Donna -- my favorite shows/tours involve Donna keeping a low profile (she seemed to have it in check for most of 72 and 77). Ever heard that Dick's Pick from '73 when she was on maternity leave?!

Ive heard the site has been messed up and people have trouble with the downloads, but by the time i get home from work (around 7pm est), the download seems to work pretty well.

Is that #19? I have it, but haven't listened to it in a long time. Just fired up Promised Land though!

Has all the downloads. Very happy to see a Help --> Slipknot! --> Franklin's Tower make the cut. They opened with that when I saw them in the late 80's, suprised the hell out of me to hear the full sequence. Really like Brent's piano work on this too.
