Keeping up with your car payments, it seems, is not always enough to keep away the repo man. As King 5 TV reports, Adlantis Newton, a Tacoma, Washington, resident, says she faithfully paid her car payments of $299 each month and had a title proving that she owned her 1999 Chrysler LHS. Which didn't stop Wells Fargo from seizing the vehicle anyway. (Hat tip to the Big Picture)

Only after being called by King 5's Jesse Jones did anything happen. Newton tells King 5 News that the President of Wells Fargo -- presumably they're referring to John Stumpf -- called her personally about the matter. The car was soon delivered back to Newton's door.

Could she file charges for stealing her vehicle? Sounds like she could have a case since she owned the car and it was basically stolen.
I wish I was as fortunate, as fortunate as me.

no kidding, I love their policy of putting debits on your acct the day you purchase them, taking them off your account for several days, and then reapplying the debit to your account. I also like how they re - order your purchases from biggest to smallest everyday so as to up the chance they can charge you with an overdraft fee.

I guess Wells Fargo REALLY wanted that '99 Chrysler LHS. Can you blame them?

we had a checkbook stolen and lost $1600 dollars, filed a police report for the bank to get the money back...fat chance but we did get a little less than half..then another stolen check comes through AFTER I closed the acct,
WF covers the check and tells me I owe them the money plus a fee for them covering the check..so when I told them to fuck off ..they sue me for the $280 , hope that bank burns in hell
