the daring days of reckless driving
arent behind me after all.
just last weekend
i felt the string pull tight,
reminder of the lack of control.
so i pushed my foot
till it busted through the floor
and the pavement,
and my desire for speed
left me rooted in place.

i kept stretching,
ligments straining
muscles snapping,
until my very bones
reached the limit
of their elasticity.
and at that very point
where i knew i must either
rebound or evaporate

i crashed headfirst
into you.
and that inner storm,
that need to escape
exploded
my past into shards of shimmering glass
each a pixel of who i was
let loose on the universe
to become what we will become
"Ah, life is a gate, a way, a path to Paradise anyway, why not live for fun and joy and love or some sort of girl by a fireside, why not go to your desire and LAUGH..."
