Just watched the newest episode. I'm getting nervous they are going to drag this Negan thing out another season? It doesn't feel like they are 1 episode from a conclusion. I seriously might have to stop watching if that is the case, never thought I'd say it, but this show has done nothing for me for 2 seasons, time to move on.
The preview for the next episode said the war will end so we'll see.  As usual I'm sure we will be left with some sort of cliff hanger.

No doubt in my mind that they end the next episode with a Rick/Negan climactic fight that will be continued into the next season.
And so you see, I have come to doubt
All that I once held as true
    I stand alone without beliefs
The only truth I know is you.

Just watched the finale. Was okay, at least they ended the Negan/Rick conflict.
But are they setting up for a Hilltop/Alexandria war next season? Thats what it looked like, but I hope not.

Yeah I though it was good too.  I'm glad they didn't drag out the episode and got right to the action.  Did not see Eugene's double cross coming.

I dont think that its over.  The girl that told on Dwight, one negan found on the side of the road, gave one of the girls a look when she was planting flowers.  I see her breaking him out and eventually Maggie killing Negan, after he gains power again.

Apparently Andrew Lincoln will be in only 6 episodes of season 9 and will be leaving the show.

If he is leaving, they should just end it, no?

They have that other one.... perhaps develop an 'offshoot' series with whomever's story they want to continue.

In this case, cutting the main character out and expecting the series to move along is going to be a grievous mistake, for a show that seems to always be panned by its fans.

I haven't even watched the last season yet. should be showing up on netflix soon I would guess. And I was hardcore WD.

if Rick leaves and the show continues, cancellation won't be far off after that.

Knew this would start happening eventually....this show has gone on wayyyyy too long.  Can't imagine it will go on much longer with Rick leaving.  I saw that Maggie is also leaving the show.  Ratings have gone way down too...maybe another 2-3 seasons.  It's sad to see what this show has become...

if they decide to continue the series, they should do a complete 180 and break from the comics. Negan joins Rick's group, and they all go around terrorizing different groups. essentially, they become the new saviours, while they pillage and plunder the countryside, they are actually doing it for some greater good. make it morally challenging like it once was.

I sadly left in the middle of Season 7

from Oct 2010 until then i never missed a Sunday night.  They lost me at that point tho.  I’d tune in again for the Final episode whenever that happens.  Was amazing for a long time and a ton of fun.  Wife and i would put the kids to bed and get Greek takeout for a late dinner lol

Just saw a promo for season 9. They advertised it as "Rick Grimes' Last Episodes."

Anyone know what the plan is? Are they killing him off, is he just leaving? How can they do the show without him? Everyone is just barely hanging in because its barely watchable anymore, I can't imagine watching it without Rick in it.

Such a garbage ploy to get people to continue to tune in.

Much like a multi season cliffhanger of "who dies by getting beaten by a bat".

    Its lazy.
