What an incredible day! Me & 4 friends attended the rally, was so cool to be a part of something like that! Hilarious, but also meaningful! Amazing guests (The Roots, John Legend, Sheryl Crow, Kid Rock, Jeff Tweedy (from Wilco), Ozzy Osbourne, Tony Bennett, Yusuf (Cat Stevens), Mavis Staples, The O-Jays, Adam & Jamie from Mythbusters, Kareem Abdul Jabbar, Daily Show correspondents) as well! So glad I Metro-ed in for the event! Anyone else go too?

Hell yes Sam! I went with 3 of my college friends. We had to leave at 2:!5 am to be able to catch a bus to get onto the Mall by 7 to volunteer as Giveaway people.

Did you get a Rally Towel?! I was giving them away :D

After we ran out of towels we got to go up to McCready's side of the VIP Section for the show cause of our volunteer shirts!

    Where were you?!

Totally awesome day! I love Stewart and he really did a great job at the rally!

No, I wish I did!! So many of those signs were genius! Kept us very entertained waiting for the rally to begin and navigating our way back to the Metro after the rally!

That's so awesome you got to not only go but volunteer! And I did indeed get a towel, its hanging up in the dorm right now! And how cool you got to go to the VIP section! To see some of those people up close would have been incredible- still in shock over the whole Cat Stevens/Ozzy Osbourne bit!! We got to the rally at about 10:30 and were standing on the right side, near 7th street. Was able to find a nice place, could see a screen very well so we were all good! I was so happily surprised with the crowd- did not encounter a single asshole who did not know the definition of personal space near me! Definitely agreed, it was such an amazing day!! So glad I could be a part of it!

Wanted to go. Didn't make it. Watched most of it. Was slow at times and took too long to get to the point but I think Stewart did a great job in the end. His speech at the end was outstanding.

Glad you guys had fun. Was hoping to go. Kind of happy I didn't but enjoyed watching it, hoping to get video if his final speech, hit the nail on the head in my opinion.

Ozzy surprised me so much. I had a bet with my friend that Eddie was going to show up. I had him singing Rockin In The Free World with the Roots and everyone on stage as the final song, but he didn't show :( lol

No assholes by me either, just a couple guys with signs in front of me
You're so lucky that you go to school so close! I had a 4 hour trip home -_-

but everything was definitely worth it :D

when stewart introduced "two people both from chicago" i was hoping one of them was going to be eddie...

i had a great time at the rally as well. my college, syracuse university, was able to get a bus down to the event. we left at midnight on friday, got to d.c. at 6 am, got to the mall at 8:30, and stayed there until 3. we had a pretty good view of the stage; right behind the first barricade. it was great being a part of that. it had a really great message too.
Beavis: All my friends are brown and red? What does that mean?
Butthead: It means that his friends are like turds and that they like suck.
Beavis: Heh heh. Oh yeah. Yeah! Get those spoons out of my face before I shove them up your butt!
    Butthead: Huh huh.

I did take pictures but my FB is on private, so sorry everyone! But I definitely thought we had a shot at an Ed appearance, and every so often my friends would tease me and be like 'It's Eddie!' or 'When's Eddie coming on?' :)

Will be talking about this for a long time, what a cool thing to have witnessed!

And rhcp, so awesome you got to go, lucky Syracuse provided a bus! One of my friends really wanted to go and would have gone with me, but unfortunately her school (Albany) did not provide bus service.
