i know this is a horribly broad topic, but just for laughs, say, you had a 13 year old, and they were just getting into music. they were curious about essential albums period. genre was non existent. hip hop, rock, metal, pop, etc... all of it. What albums would you buy this hypothetical teen? What would you absolutely insist that they own? Albums and music thats essential to know about?

The Black Crowes - Southern Harmony/Amorica/Before The Frost/Warpaint

    everything by bad religion
Ron: I just don't feel like going out tonight
    Sammi: Wanna just break up?

  • My little cousin, when he was barely 10, would sing along like crazy to dried up, tied and dead to the world, in marilyn manson’s anti-christ superstar… he’s growin up a smart kid… makes me wonder how smart he’d be if he’d memorised each song of the album..

So I would say Anti-Christ Superstar for this hypothetical teen… he’ll see the shit for what it really is and shall then appreciate truly what’s real… and what’s maybe not so real

    …and No Code
