...to be election monitors and be sure Hispanics are not harrassed.

They are so concerned about voter intimidation because of the citizens watching to be sure illegal aliens don't vote, yet don't investigate Black Panthers that are on film holding weapons at an entrance.

Odd.

I think it's important that American Hispanic people are protected in Arizona at this time.

People who are legally allowed to vote should not be harassed at all.

Why is the Justice Dept focusing on this case but ignoring the obviously racist case of the Black Panther intimidation?

Is it sad that they send them, Unsung, or sad that they need to?
I know you hate illegal immigrants, but if they're legal, even you have to admit they deserve protection from idiots who might think otherwise.

firstly its state wide involvement versus one case, secondly how could the state predict there would be a specific group at a specific poll,

"The Justice Department announced Friday it would deploy more than 400 federal observers to 30 jurisdictions in 18 states ahead of Tuesday's election. But Arizona officials say the department had already committed to sending observers to their state.

Justice Department officials had notified Maricopa County that they would send a "handful" of election observers, even before the e-mail was sent, Matthew Benson, a spokesman for Arizona's secretary of state, told FoxNews.com. "
    ...
    400 / 30 = 13.3333
    400 / 18 = 22.222
    ...
Those are just the averages... You need to tell me specifically, how many of the 400 observers are going to Arizona, before I become an irrational, fear-stricken wuss.
    ...
The observers are going to make sure the voluenteers do not harrass American citizens by grilling them on their citizenship. If they are going to ask one Mexican person... they have to ask ALL of the voters to prove their citizenship... because, this is still America and we are still Americans.

like jon stewert said in his rally, the asshole that cuts you off on the new jersey turnpike, the exception, should not be given an analyst job on a major network.

do you really think the black panthers are as relevant as the anti immigration sentiment in this country? i can't remember the last time i heard about the black panthers, or have seen them demonstrate.

but the local republicans in my very small town way up in north idaho changed the fair's annual "fiesta" to "celebration", because apparently they are scared of mexicans.

ummm well it is a bit odd the only time we've ever heard of black panthers intimidating people at the polls was when a black person running for president . apparently they did have enough of an impact considering the justice department was looking into black panther voter intimidation during the 08 election which was just recently dropped by the justice department. all one has to do is google the words black panther voter intimidation.

anyways i was just making a joke and answering godfathers question
