Dark Parade

You see
I feel the way that I do today
Because I’ve been through
a goddamn war.
With a acid taste
And the rat less race
I’ve swallowed twenty dollars or more

I’ve got everything
(except for wings)
If I had them then I would be gone
Now, I can’t bear the sight
Until I see the light
Of the suns rays
arching on my lawn.

I see a hypocrite,
a raging lunatic
Has rearranged my chosen side
I walk on nails
just to avoid the rails
I shield my face
And pass up that ride.

Cause If I would have cared
I would have brought a chair
I would have wanted a front row seat
For your holocaust
Your swirling swarm of wasps
For your chosen holy beast

You see
I feel the way that I do today
Because I’ve been around this block before
With your dark parade
your fucking masquerade
Screaming out
I try to plead for more.

But, the butchers come
And cut out my tongue
There are anchors where it used to be.
I can taste the blood as I see the mud
Mixing in with all that’s left of me.

If I knew where it was I would take you there. There's much more than this
