Juan Uribe made a lot of people in San Francisco happy last night -- even some who couldn't care less about the game of baseball.

In addition to giving the Giants a big lead over the Texas Rangers, Uribe's homer meant more free marijuana, you know, if you're into that kind of thing.

ReLeaf Herbal Center Medical Dispensary is giving away a joint to its customers for each round-tripper the Giants hit.

To get into the festive spirit, the shop is also offering big savings on a bright orange strain of marijuana and a THC-infused orange drink called -- wait for it -- "Giant Punch."

Coincidentally, Tim Lincecum helped give the hometown team a 1-0 series lead ...

    This kind of thing would NEVER happen in Utah. It's a California thing (and maybe a Pacific-West thing).

    In fact, I wouldn't recommend ever holding your breath for Utah to support or pass medicinal marijuana, let alone make it legal.

    $50 and a doctors note will get you a card here! They tried to get it legalized for recreational use, but they didn't get enough sigs to go on the ballot. Guess I'll just have to hope for 1100 passing (removing state control of liquor sales and prices) for now.

    Unfortuantely we're having a bit of a tough time financially and had to back out of the Crowes SF trip. I'm still dealing with it. I'm extremely bummed. :(

    Its not hard to get the card.
    The dispensaries have Doctor nights. You make an appointment, pay the bill, get the card. Although you do have to claim some kid of ailment.

    They are insane. You can smell them from down the street. Word has it the baked goods are fantastic.
    And they are everywhere in SF.

    do you all think cali will vote to legalize it? i think it could turn their economy around, they already spend $1billion or so of the state's money on the war on drugs, then add in the court and prison costs that wold disappear....

    Nope, I'm pretty sure there will be about 49 states that legalize medical Mary Jane before Utah. Waaaay too many "special interests" involved in that state.

    Shit, the mormon church effectively destroyed prop 8 in Cali by pouring millions of dollars into Cali's anti-gay movement.

    Oh well.

    Medical Mary Jane is on the ballot here in AZ. I for one did my early voting. Not saying which way I voted. ;)
