One persons actions does not mean everyone feels that way. Feel free to generalize.

Most original TEA Party people have come to see how it has been hijacked by people like Palin. I've long since disassociated myself with the name. There was a purpose but it has been muddled like just about everything else in politics.

It's true - not every Tea Partier wants to kick a liberal in the head so much that he actually does it, but they do all want to boot fellow citizens out of their homes because they were dumb enough to sign bad mortgages (which were able to take place due to lack of government oversight), or because they lost their jobs when the free market sent them to India, and they'll all be proud of them when they then decide to join the one communistically-run organization they all support - our military - and proceed to shoot people in the head or otherwise blow them to bits as a consequence of a global cat and mouse game known as the war on terror.

I didn't see a person kicked in the head. I saw someone whose shoulder was stepped on.

Not saying that's right, but if you can't tell the truth, what does that say about you?

i like how he blames the victim and the police for what he did, saying the police should have done something to stop it....is he saying he can't control his rage unless a police officer steps in?

No - he doesn't stomp her head or kick her head in any way. He puts his foot on her shoulder and pushes. It's bad. I'm not defending him, but people saying she was kicked or stomped in the head are doing so because they have an agenda to make it worse than it was.

I've often thought about that, it would have probably been cheaper to pay off everyone's mortgage and then tell the banks to go fuck themselves.

Exactly. Trace the problem to its source - the exploiter, not the exploited. And frankly, having a home should be a human right.

You simply cannot watch that video and claim that he stepped on her head.

In any case, he still was wrong to do what he did, but why do people have to exaggerate it?

She probably shouldn't have stuck her sign into Paul's vehicle first:

Of course she didn't deserve her head being stepped on, but it could also be argued that she started the agressive action by going towards his car and sticking her sign in there.

It's a bit weird to me that lack of government oversight is what you cite as being the reason these bad mortgages were allowed when in actuality it was because of government regulation that these bad mortgages were incentivized to begin with. The mid 90's legislation that banks be required to lower their standards regarding loan practices was more conducive to the bad mortgage fiasco than anything else, let alone a "lack" of oversight.

It's fair point you make. On one hand, the government lowered the standards, and on the other hand, government paid no attention to the standards that were kept...

For example (from http://themillercircle.org/2010/10/the- ... ge-crisis/): "But recently, we have learned that many foreclosures have been done illegally and it is the attorneys general of many states who are now declaring that during the sub-prime fiasco, mortgages were bundled up, diced sliced and otherwise contorted through acts of complete illegality, often without a notarized copy of the signature of the mortgagee at the time of sale, something that is required by law in many or most states. While the Bank of America has stopped doing mortgage foreclosures throughout the country, referring to their problem as “flawed paperwork,” Ralph Nader has no problem referring to it as “fraudulently executed contracts.”" I also heard on NPR that many signatures that were notarized, were done so en masse in offices miles away from where they were signed, which, of course, defeats the whole purpose. So what does this mean, did anyone ever read any of these mortgages? Did they sign one and have another one notarized? What a fucking mess.

I agree. It disgusts me that our political process has basically become two sides lying about the bad things the other side has done.

If I had the resources, I'd run for office and REFUSE to speak one word about my opponent.
