I'd be upset but I'd get over it. I love going to PJ shows, but there's a lot more to life. It would be one kick ass phase of my life coming to a close, but it's all good in the long run. On the plus side: no more 10C pre-sale anxiety :)

That being said, I told my wife that unless she is 8+ months pregnant with our 2nd child at the time, I am going to PJ's final shows wherever they may be.

Since they cease to come within a 2 hour driving distance from me, this has already become a reality.

2 hours is the farthest you'll drive to see PJ? Weak

Before PissBottleBoy, we didn't mind traveling to Canada and other points in between. Since then, we would appreciate a tour schedule that is more family-friendly. :)

Being parents, I would assume they understand.

  • It would hurt, that's for sure. It would especially hurt because I've only been able to start seeing them live in the last few years, and I feel like I missed out on so much because of that.

I was a kid when Nirvana came reasonably close to my home town, and even though it would have been harder than hell to get there, I didn't even try- I figured they'd be back next year, when I could drive. That didn't happen. I learned from that experience that many good things in life, including bands, aren't guaranteed to be around for long. Enjoy it as much as you can, and don't bet on them coming back.

I really feel I've been blessed to be able to go to the shows I've gone to, to hear the music I've heard, and I even got to shake Ed's hand at a solo show. Yes, it would break my heart if they said there would be no more live shows, especially if something bad happened to someone in the band, but I feel so lucky already, what more do I have a right to ask for?

  • I'm with PBM. My ultra-financially-conservative wife actually agreed to travel wherEVER in the US for the 20th anniversary show. And it doesn't happen.

    FARK.

I've only seen them thrice (93, 03, and 05), so I'm itching for more!
