What happened at the Vic?

Lots of people are blaming the new camera policy on the Vic show. What was the problem? I was there and don't recall there being a problem so I am curious what everyone is reffering to. Please enlighten me.

BTW...that was SUCH an amazing show.

    Half way through the first song, Trouble, he stopped, and complained about all the flashes, that it was like playing at a disco.

    I heard tape was passed around to cover people's flashes?

    Yes. It was great. Loved the cubbies song and Eds favorite little joke song about liqour in the rear (which I thought was hilarious) But I still didn't catch a camera problem.

    Ok...Im starting to recall. I guess the show was just So intense...I was on E...had been out in the hot Chi heat all day waiting that that small moment slipped my memory. Plus...ed screws up fairly often so I just thought it was another ed moment.

    yeha the flashes during the first song or 2 were ridiculous, and they wouldn't stop. So when Ed stopped they started passing out black tape to cover the flashes to ppl in the first 5-10 rows or so. It wasn't as bad the rest of the show. But really it seemed like everyone up close had a camera with a flash.

    I suppose it could be a little distracting when you're trying to sing a song up there for a bunch of people by yourself, but that's just me :)
    Wouldn't it be funny if the world ended in 2010, with lots of fire?
