Who has never seen a PJ or EV show before?

I've never been, and am really looking forward to going to see Eddie in Toronto.

Am I the only who's never been to see them/him? If you had a chance to pick up a ticket, where on the current tour would you like to get one for?

I've been a casual fan since 92ish - and I've become a much bigger fan in the last 3 - 4 yrs. My path hasn't crossed there's a lot in the way of tours, and all of my concert/travelling funds were directed to some other bands I'm into.
A few years ago I decided to pay more attention as I realized I'd never heard a PJ song I didn't like, and any live performance on TV/Internet etc. always blew me away. I'm really glad I realized that :)

This summer tour was the first time I saw Pearl Jam.. and I ended up seeing em 5 times! :D

I'm also seeing EV for the first time this tour (it's only his second tour so many, many people haven't seen him yet) in DC, twice.

They sure did...and I had tickets too, which I gave to my brother and his now wife. Unfortunately U2 played Toronto that week and that whole circus ended up taking priority :D...I still remember being sick when I heard about the how good the London show was and when Eddie got on stage at the Saturday show and I realized I really should have gone to see them. I just realized I guess I have technically seen him live before lol...Daniel Lanois was up there too. Great moment.

I snagged some tuesday tickets. If I could afford both nights I would have bought both...(and followed his tour in it's entirety)

I am sure they will be back in the area in 2009. Likely not Hamilton or Kitchener, but I think London has a shot at a show and Toronto and Buffalo should be automatic ... so you can catch up in 2009 :D

I hope so, that bloody arena better be good for something!! That would be awesome - if they come this way I will not let the opportunity pass again. Unless the Dublin boys were also in the SWO/NY area, but I'd give up a couple of their shows to see PJ...see, I'm a total convert now :D

Why did you miss out then Nicole?

I didn't even know what I was missing until I saw PJ for the first time in '06. It's all hindsight....muthafuckin' hindsight.

I mean, you think you love them now...just WAIT till you see them live! It is unreal energy...so amazing.

BTW I'm moving to London in the fall...we'll be even closer neighbours! :)

Where were you on 9/12/05? Right in your backyard and you weren't there!

That show was amazing: Oceans as the opener, BRY, Hard To Imagine, Off He Goes, State ...

    Ok, I will stop :D

That's quite enough out of you, thanks :D

Oh, so sort of similar road to being a big fan then...I'm really looking forward seeing the whole band at some point!

You are? of your own free will? that's unfortunate :console: ;)
It'll be nice to know another fan in the city for sure!

I too haven't seen either incarnation live. I missed the rise of Pearl Jam because I lived in Japan for the large part of the mid to late 90's. My neighbour actually got me into them about 2 years ago, but I haven't even heard all of their studio albums - including Ten :-O The albums I have heard though are all fantastic.

My neighbour didn't manage to get tickets to the Toronto shows next month, and neither did I - not for lack of trying. So, I'll have to wait for another tour unless I get lucky on the boards.
