That's some of the best news I've heard in a while. Even though the original mix is pretty crappy it's still one of my favourite records. Can't wait to hear what they've done to it

  • awesome news! i've always liked the sound quality of PHM... nice rusty kind of sound... like shouting into a metal garbage can

but trent always puts a nice new spin on things with his remixes... sure to be worthwhile

Awesome price, cheaper than the original in stores.
    I wish they had samples.

I popped in my Pretty Hate Machine cd over the weekend . . . I hadn't touched it in years. It's an odd coincidence that they release the news of a remix a few days later.

It doesn't sound like there will be anything extra. Just a different album cover and a remastering.

Actually I was just looking at the Amazon listing and they are adding Get Down Make Love to this release which was originally a B-side on the Sin single. It didn't mention anything else extra and the price is $9.99 so I would assume it's just a CD.

My copy finally arrived in the mail on Wednesday.
I listened to it once and I think it is worth the buy.

sounds way better- my copy was always low volume on the original the new version is crisper and much easier to hear the depth of the effects

they added a studio version of Get Down Make Love(Queen)

I read on Amazon reviews that two sound effects are not on the remaster that were on the original, on two songs?

I finally got around to listening to my vinyl copy. It definitely sounds better than the original. At least now I can hear a few of the songs that were so quiet on the original copy that I could barely hear them. However, I think it's pretty weird that they left a whole side of the 2nd record blank. Couldn't he have found some unreleased, demos, or live tracks that he could have added to this release?
