Well Im an immigrant and ive been here a few years, im originally from Peru.
Live can be tough sometimes but living in another country without any family or friends its a bit tougher.
One of the reasons that made me stay in this country was Pearl Jam, cause in my country they never played (but who knows in the next South American tour). im just wondering how many immigrants are in this board, cause i have a few questions. and i would like to share with them.
thank you Pearl Jam!!!

    ok
    imo
i am an immigrant as my ancestors came from Europe
so this has nothing to do with your question
but i wanted to say to all
Do some citizens believe that america is THEIR country and that anyone else (especially those south of the border) is an immigrant?
the indigenous peoples that may actually have a claim to this country will never get it back and, to me,
Mexicans, central americans, south americans are not the immigrants.
fuck 'em if they can't take a joke

  • First off, the native people weren't really native since people traveled to the Americas tens of thousands of years ago from a land bridge that connected Asia to America. Second, if you consider those people to be the natives, then you need to understand that the Spanish and Portuguese conquered the people in Mexico, Central and South America. Therefore there really aren't many "natives" left. I am tired of these arguments anyway because we are all Americans and we should try to understand our differences and connect on things that bring us together. My family came over on the Mayflower, ok. That doesn't make me any better than someone who immigrates from Peru now. We all agree that Pearl Jam rocks, and that is all that matters.

    ok
    first off
i understand that throughout history, the conquerors mix blood and culture with the "loosers"
no one is indigenous to america or anywhere else save africa, since we all came out of africa
how far back do you go?
    we are all african?
well, i guess in a way, we are
    i am not arguing
    we ARE all connected
    and we SHOULD realize that!

I'm immigrating to New Hampshire this weekend. I hear they have great state-run liquor stores.

I hope they speak English. :?
