Ten Years Ago Today. This is another show that seems to fly under the radar. Great setlist, but I never hear or see anything about this show. Thoughts?

The Rockin' In The Free World footage can be found in Touring Band 2000 dvd. Excellent Mike's guitar solos in this particular version and Eddie carried a nine year old on his shoulders, took him next to Matt, let him grab a drum stick, he (Ed) grabbed one too and all three (kid, Ed and Matt) closed the concert! Worth a viewing! 8-)

That show started out FREEZING COLD! I remember Mike in a winter jacket. But the band really cranked out the heat, and I honestly don't remember the cold after the first few songs. I've been to a lot of shows and therefore my wife has been to quite a few as well. She still claims this was the best show she's ever been to. I can't say the same, but it was really, really good.

Ahhhhh Albuquerque! The last time they played here (ABQ 98 was also absolutely KILLER). They need to come back before another decade goes by.

That was my first time front row, really only truly time ever front row (kinda front row one other time in '03). Center. Ed leaned over the edge of the stage and gave me his pick after Off He Goes. It was one great night and a great show. Five Horizons used to have a really good review about how unexpectedly great that show was.

And JESSE (or Jessie?)! What a little badass! TB2K does not accurately capture just how crazy the crowd went when that kid threw up the devil horn hand sign and started rocking out with Ed. So cool.

I wonder where that kid is nowadays...

Yes, the 98 show may be the most underrated show I've been to. Crazy energy in a freaking rodeo arena. If I remember correctly, Ed buried his mic stand in the stage at one point. That was good times.

I was at that show... got tickets from TicketMaster and ended up in the 3rd row on Stone's side. Sold to extra ticket to a great guy that drove down from Denver.
Great little venue... the news helicopter circled a couple of times during the show (might have been during 'Given To Fly') and we all waved to them... and during the encore... Eddie took a mini-cassette from someone who was recording from the front row and talked into it... never found out what he said because I never found that recording online. Someone got a mic stand from Eddie... kind of an odd thing. And he pulled that mini Fred Durst on stage from right in front of us.
