    In the last few nights, I have watched American Radical: The Trials of Norman Finkelstein, the Democracy Now! debates between Finkelstein and Dershowitz in their entirety, part of a Dershowitz/Chomsky debate, and the Chomsky interview on DN! discussing Dershowitz's involvement in having Finkelstein denied tenure at DePaul.....
    I'm convinced Dershowitz is one of the world's leading scumbags....a heartless, ego-driven, slimeball.

    my dad would have to be one of the kindest, gentlest, good hearted people you would ever want to meet. he always somehow manages to see some good in everybody. it's not often i would hear him say a bad word about anyone.

    he caught up with Dershowitz at the SOH in Sydney a couple of weeks ago when he was there debating at the Dangerous Ideas Festival.

    he used the words 'arrogant' and 'irrational' to describe him.

    personally i think Byrnzies words describe him better. he's a horrible man. pure evil.

    well if he was on that team Yosi was right in saying he has a brilliant mind. How the hell OJ got away with it beats me. so his legal team must have been very very good.

    clearly ethics or morals don't come into it when you are defending scumbags. it was dershowitz's job to defend him. any way he could.

    it's water off a ducks back for him. he's had plenty of practice of defending scumbags. he does it every day.

    I think the mistake people here are making is that they're equating the description 'a leading legal mind' with someone of intelligence, or integrity.

    Dershowitz is a lawyer. He has a lawyers mind. He's an oily, dishonest, sef-serving scumbag.


    What Hunter S. thompson said of Nixon could just as well be said of Dershowitz: 'he was a foul caricature of himself, a man with no soul, no inner convictions, with the integrity of a hyena and the style of a poison toad.'

    when the camden 28 raided a gov't building to take draft cards during the vietnam war, when they were caught, they didn't try to weasel their way out through technicalities. they went straight to the point, to the morality behind their action.


    too many defense lawyers never get to the point behind the disobedience. during the camden 28 trial the vietnam war itself was tried. that's a fucking trial. give me that lawyer.
