Lubbock, Texas (October 18, 2000)

Ten Years Ago Today. Love this show, great cover of "Everyday". Definitely one of my favorites from the 2000 Tour.

Parting Ways (made it onto TB2K)
Pearl Jam playing a place that they probably never had and never will again... remember when they used to play in Texas??
Thanks for posting these ten year anniversary type threads... I like them. That was a really interesting and memorable life during the 2000 tour, long story... but thanks!
Albuquerque is next!

Ed needed someone to dance with on Yellow Ledbetter. Crowd went crazy. It was such a sweet little moment to end the night.

I was listening to this bootleg on my commute today and thought of that moment, mostly because of this very coincidental and cool moment for me -
The first time I saw PJ was in San Antonio in 2003. Standing in the 10c line that afternoon to pick up my tickets, I talked for an hour or more to this guy behind me in line named Damien. He made a passing comment about his wife getting pulled up on stage to dance with Ed and I thought he was referring to the night before in Oklahoma City (they had just come from that show). I later read about the Lubbock incident and it was in-fact this guy and his wife - Jaime. Then a few months after that, I contacted a couple of random bootleg traders from a PJ trading web site to ask about B&Ps, found a really helpful/friendly fan who hooked me up with some shows. When I got my first package from him, the first name was Damien so I asked by any chance if he was the same guy from San Antonio. Turns it out was him and he ended up sending me a ton of shows and even some pictures from his much-closer-than-mine seats from that night. Really cool guy, and that was his wife that danced with Ed in Lubbock. There used to be a scan of the polaroid that Ed took of him and Jaime on twofeetthick or fivehorizons but I couldn't find it. Anyway, I saw this thread the other day and had fun reminiscing about my first show and the small connection to this Lubbock show.
