How many cd's do you own?

inspired by mookie's thread, how many albums do you own? I know its hard to calculate these days as most of us dont even really have cd's, we just essentially store mp3's on computers, and on ipods, but how many physical cd's do you own? How many CD'R's have you burned?

I have maybe 500-1,000 physical cd's i bought or was given as a gift.

and its hard to calculate CD'R's but i have those spindles of 50 cd's, organized like mookie by artist last name, i have a spindle for every single letter of the alphabet, many letters with multiple 50 spindles.

total 50 total spindles of 50 cd's. and 4 or 5 100 cd spindles.

i have more cd's than anyone i know

i have roughly 500 cds, probably 420 of them are actual albums i bought or were given to me. that does not count compliation cds i made or bootlegs i have been given...add to that about 100 cassettes and i have enough music to last me a LONG time...

I've got about 1,000 cd's not including cd-r's. I was fortunate enough to have a job working at a record store some years ago and the constant exposure to other peoples listening tastes and easy access to the musical world made me reinvest most of my paycheck every couple of weeks.

Regrettably I don't buy cd's nearly as often any more. Not because I don't want to, because I'm not exposed to much in the way of things I would consider good enough to buy any more. There are some really great music blogs out there which provide incredible exposure to new things, but it's kind of like drinking from a fire hose. Too much all at once with no real focus or direction.

I always prefer to own a cd over downloading something digitally.

Currently, I am somewhere in the ballpark of around 250 storebought cd's. That number was probably around 500 last year, but I sold a great deal of them.

I have around 150, but I'm quite the opposite. I'm from a small town that's nowhere near CD or record stores.
When I'm at school in Los Angeles, I'm, like, 5 miles from Amoeba Music...so I tend to make many trips over the school year. ;)

About 200, 210. I've only been buying them for about a year and a half, but Amazon has been great to me in terms of good deals. I thought that I had a lot of CDs, but Jesus, where you do you guys put thousands of CDs? I have trouble just finding room for the 200 or so I have now! I guess it's a lot among me and my friends, but I've just been blown away.

I have probably close to 300 physical CD's. In herited about the same mount of records from my old man. As much as I like physical media, that shit takes up some room. Won't ever get rid of it though.

I have around 400-500 store bought cds. I had around 500 burned cds that were stolen out of my car at a gas station about 6 years ago that I never bothered replacing. I don't buy that many cds anymore. I used to buy them constantly when I was in college.
I wish I was as fortunate, as fortunate as me.

I'd say it's in the 700-800 range of store bought albums I own. This doesn't count CDR's, although I only have about 10 of them. I still find myself buying CD's even today...can't help myself. There's a local store here that generates a tremendous amount of used turnover, and I can usually find 3-5 skuffed CD's everytime I go in there that are appealing to me that cost me $.95 - $2.50 a piece. I was in there last week and walked out the door with 5 CD's (one was No Code...bought it just on principle for $.95 since it had the photos) for $5.

Close to 800 store bought cd's. In my prime in the early 90's I was probably buying about 2 a week, but the past few years I probably average between 1 and 2 a month. I've slowly come around to buying digital, but I'll always buy physical cd's - as long as they sell them.

My household has about 1100 store-bought cds. And about 200 cds worth of Springsteen bootlegs.

    About 100.
I've only been working full time for 3.5 years.
CD buying is my biggest vice, I buy them but hardly play them.
I need to cut this out as I need to save for a house.
