The Truth About Internet Dating Sites

Left ignored
Like unwanted condom wrappers
That decorate the floor
Unattended
Unappreciated
The neighborhood deli
The neighborhood whore
Ink to the pen
As dry as the well in summer
My darling
Sweet misses
You’re going to Hell
She leaves me ignored
Like the fly on the wall
With poisonous spiders
Grabbing at my soul
Rejection’s a reflection
Light exiting the room
Taught like a science
From a teacher or from a whore
Rejection is now my reflection
In a mirror I see what others can’t
What do they see?
A little poor me
A book judged by its cover
Never will she read
Because she chooses not to
And there I stand
Left ignored
Left ignored
Left ignored
