If I start using my sisters old Ipod..

When I hook it up to my laptop....will the songs on her ipod wipe out my itunes? or will the songs from my itunes go onto the ipod?

  • The songs on the iPod won't affect your own iTunes because you're not supposed to be able to transfer songs from an iPod to another computer's iTunes...although there are ways to do so. If you want to keep her songs, you need to select the manual option, but if you just want your stuff on it, you can automatically sync it to your computer and her stuff will be erased.

  • I believe the songs on the pc will wipe out the i pod but im not 100% certain

    i basically want to wipe her stuff out and get all of mine on there, so seems like i just sync it up.

    i don' think it would, you might have to change the settings on your itunes though?

    plugging it in won't wipe it. it's easy to delete all the crap you don't want. after you plug in the ipod, and open itunes, navigate to the ipod in itunes and delete what you don't want

    If you click manually manage music it won't. There is also a program called idump that wall take all of your music from the iPod and put it on your hard drive. Google it. It may only work for certain models
