Just seems like too much for Weezer.
  • Enjoy. Sounds like a great opportunity.

  • If I only do one, which to do? I'm leaning towards Pinkerton.

As much as I love the blue album, I'd have to go with Pinkerton. Pinkerton is very near the top of my all time favorite albums list!

But Suzanne will most likely be played the first night. AHHHH, what shall I do?

Mykel and Carli would be the song that could sway me into night 1.

One of my friends is doing the Pinkerton one in NYC. Wish they did this in philly. Not going to NYC to see Weezer and pay $70 for a ticket, sorry.

I'm conflicted. On the one hand, I love these two albums. On the other hand, I hate going to shows full of hipsters who just stand there and videotape the show with their phones.

Also, $70 is a bit steep. I just saw Primus at the same venue Weezer will be playing at (The Orpheum) for $45 and they are, you know, much better.
  • Are there expected to be more dates? I can't see them not hitting Philly.
  • Tomorrow!!! Can't wait

  • For what its worth...If ya dont know.... i heard they do 2 sets. the first is a 10 song set consisting of a greatest hits mix. then a mini intermission then either the blue album in full or pinkerton. heard they shows have been great.

Have a great time, I have 2 friends going tonight as well! Though 70 bucks for Weezer would be a bit steep for me, still sounds awesome and they will probably be great shows!

Caught both shows in San Francisco. The way they presented the material made for a great concert experience.

Say what you want about their recent albums. Blue and Pinkerton will always be special to me because they came out when I was in college. So, when I hear those albums, it takes me back.

Hearing songs that they don't play at all anymore, like The World Has Turned, and the aforementioned Across The Sea and Butterfly was fantastic. Only in Dreams is amazing live.

yeah i was in high school when the blue record was released, and it was the soundtrack of our summer one year.....then pinkerton came out when i was in college and kind of wrecked everything....but when my entire group of friends left and listened to pinkerton on our own, we realized the massive difference and the massive growth between the two records...i still prefer pinkerton, as it is the most legit lyrically, while some friends of mine prefer the blue record for it's pop sensibilities...it is an interesting debate.....i would rather see pinkerton in its entirity though...

Killer... I would give the nod to the Pinkerton show as the better one, I love that record so much... and they seemed to really be enjoying themselves last night... Getchoo live was sick as was Across the Sea...

Plus we got Suzanne which I love and Jamie... Only in Dreams which my 8 year old is perfecting on bass brought out the bad ass in him

The one downer, I had my 8 year old on my shoulders the whole night and I am now chugging tylenol as if they are peanuts, lol...

I always forget how awesome Roseland is for a show... I really hope they release something live from this...

Plus the slide montage in between set was great...

Glad you had a good time. Seemed like it was killer looking at some videos on youtube. I only been to the Roseland Ballroom once and that was last year to see The Prodigy.

You had your kid on your shoulders the whole time? Hope you were towards the back and not in anyone's view.
