One time while I was listening to Pearl Jam I saw that beside my collection of bootlegs from the 2000 tour, there was, lo and behold, an album from a group known as Kings of Leon. I said to myself...
Self, you better listen to that shit.

...So.. do you think it's a coincidence they named the first song on their album after the last song on Backspacer?
..interesting song..
i didn't know seeing as how i don't give 2 fucks bout this shit band
I'm sorry.. but I happen to think they are ok.. I don't understand why they became so popular, but their music definitely hits something in me.. take it or leave it.
I really wasnt trying to be the first, just didnt go to "Other Music" to check, but I figured it would be there once I was done. So as soon as I posted it here and made my day by having some anal thread cop bust my chops... I decided to give it a read over there too.
Thanks for your extra effort Metsy, now others can just click the link that you so graciously provided.
I just listened to this album in full and I have to say it is terrible! the only song i can listen to more then once is Radioactive - very good song the rest is garbage. I don't understand what they are trying to do here. The songs mean nothing. Well maybe their next album wont be crap - lets hope so it would be terrible fo rthem to suck after only 1 good record
Caleb Followill was inspired to form a band when he heard Ten for the first time. Wouldn't it be funny if this streamed album was a hoax..... It actually sounds like B sides from the last album to me.
Albums pretty solid. Seems like they kinda took a step back from chart chasing. Definitely not as catchy as the last one, and that's both good and bad with this particular album.
I guess they're more interested now in their clothing line than they are making good music (which is a shame, as I can't state enough how good their first 2 albums were).
It's like they saw Pearl Jam's history and made sure to take the opposite career path...weird, considering the relationship between the 2 bands.
Caleb said mom's who wouldn't let daughters around them are now listen to them themselves and he didn't think that was cool and said the next album wouldn't do the same. Soccer mom's are gonna be so pissed when they listen to this.
Well they can still go buy the new Shitckleback album instead.
This is more like the old KOL. They are good.
Listen to what drummer Nathan Followill says at the 1:56 mark talking about one of the tracks on the new album.
I listened to the whole thing and it was SO boring. :?
I don't think it's like their earlier cds. I think they've been getting blander and plainer musically and more repetitious as far as the words go. I don't like songs where the same words get repeated over and over.
