mother love bone but with Eds take on the music
I have never been a fan of mother love bone, but i just checked out some stuff on youtube mainly videos and the music is fantastic. I'm not a big fan of andy wood. like its good, but it might take me more time to get into it.
I think it would be cool if ed re-did the vocals but added his own melodies and lyrics. kinda like footsteps and times of trouble, and how those two songs are the same but different melody and lyrics.
I love the pre-pearl jam and early pearl jam music that is out. Has such a different uplifting feel rather than their later work.

Hindsight tells me that MLB was a glam band reaching for the top rafters of every arena in the world, but their timing and vision for the future was just plain off.
Even without the more raw/"real" sounding* bands which followed with large-scale success (AIC, Soundgarden, Nirvana, Screaming Trees, etc...), the cheeky playfulness of bands like Poison, Cinderella, Ugly Kid Joe, Warrant had an extremely limited life span.
MLB was an amazing arena rock band that thought it was a glam band.
*"sounding" isn't the right term, but I just can think of a better way at the moment to put it."A lot more people are capable of being big out there that just don't give themselves a chance." -Stone Gossard0 -
Eddie already did this. The result is called Ten.
Especially since Dollar Short aka Alive already had Andy's lyrics at some point.9/29/96, 8/29/98, 9/8,11/98, 7/28/99, 8/23,24,25/00, 10/13/00, 4/15/03, 4/30/03, 7/8,9,12,14/03, 10/1/04, 9/30/05, 10/1/05, 5/4,5,13,27,28/06, 6/1,3/06, 6/19,20,22,24,25,27/08, 7/1/08, 8/4,5,7,16/08, 8/21/09, 10/27,28,30,31/09, 5/15,17,18,20,21/10, 9/2/12, 10/18,19,21,22,25/130 -

I've got an interview with Andy Wood on VHS where he says pretty much this. Think it's part of a Pearl Jam Past, Present & Future thing that MTV did looooong time ago. Something like he can't wait to play to large arena crowds cuz you can do/say what you like and the crowd still goes wild. The phrase he used was "Your mother smells bad people"
and he reckoned that would still get huge cheers.
Just had a look on youtube and can't find anything, wish I knew how to put stuff from VHS onto my computer, I've got all sorts of stuff I taped years ago when I was young, obsessed and had no life

Yes, please do. Have you heard the vocals of William DuVall sing Layne Staley's AIC song's live? It's horrible & painful to listen too. Let the vocals of great songs we all remember & love when we first heard them on the radio, music video & buying their records stay intake with the original artist & left alone. If it's for 1 or 2 songs go nuts but re-doing a lot of Andy's words & music wouldn't be right at all.0
