I know it has been said a couple of times before, but this Fulltone OCD is one bad a@@ soundin' OD pedal. A little pricey, but worth it! 8-)

Whose idea was it for the word "Lisp" to have an "S" in it?

  • It rules!! Big part of my sound. The only overdrive-distortion pedal I use. Worth every penny and honestly not pricey hen u look at it. Handwired. Best quality, best sound.

My entire chain is prs or strat into TU-3 tuner, fulltone clyde deluxe wah (KILLER), OCD, and mxr carbon copy analog delay, into my victoria regal II. Would like to add something for sustain maybe, and a volume pedal.

Also have a jamman solo I got recently.

I love both settings on the ocd, hp-lp, and find it easy to dial in quickly the tones I need. Fuckin rocks! I need to get the 18v adaptor though!! That supposedly takes it up another notch even!

Yo truth, you have the 18v adaptor?

  • Here is a quote from "Some Dude" on another message board (literal screen name)

"18v will increase the headroom and reduce the compression. If you're the type that likes to run the level up and the gain down to smack your amp harder I think you'll prefer it. I think the pedal sounds more natural on 18v, but more natural doesn't automatically imply better.... tone is subjective.

However, if you're the type who likes to jack the pedal's gain up to either use it as a distortion pedal or to get a more gainy lead tone then you may prefer the extra compression you get with 9v." - Some Dude

Either way, worth a try. The most recommended adaptor seems to be the Dunlop model http://www.guitarcenter.com/Dunlop-ECB-04-Barrel-18V-Adapter-100052016-i1128958.gc, but any neg center 18v will prob be fine.

I've haven't gotten around to trying it yet either cause it always sounds sooo good normally :D

yeah i like the way mine sounds now. i like to push my amp with it so i will just stick with the 9v. if it ain't broke, don't fix it...and definitely do not complicate things...

One thing to point out: Compression = Sustain. So if you go 18-volt, you'll get less compression, which means less sustain. It makes it a better boost, a bit more transparent, but then again, it's *supposed* to be a distortion pedal, not a clean boost.
...and if you don't like it, you can suck on an egg.

    homemade from scratch.

an OCD on one side feeding into the dirty little secret. i.e. two distinct flavours of drive with the dirty little secret being very marshally at most settings. the OCD is more wide ranging.

    Very cool 8-)

Understand when I say that the pedal was a bit "pricey", most all of the pedals I have I bought used, so I am used to paying between 30-50 a pedal, not 130. Well worth the $$ spent!
