Ticketmaster has taken over/I Need a Chicago Tix

Their is No Chance for for folks to purchase tickets PERIOD, the deleltion of the middle class has begun...these tix are bought and sold b4 they go onsale...Their is NO OPPURTUNITY available...it is a monopoly...
Tried for Chicago tix and got nothing, except redirected to a ticket broker, from the ticketmaster /vedder ticketpage, sent straight to tickets now and their inflated prices.....if anyone, anywhere has an xtra chicago thur or friday plz let me know...

    i pulled up 3 tickets at 3:54, granted they were limited view, you obviously gave up or never tried.


    tickets are available, they are just limited, 2500+ capacity per venue, do the math

    there are gonna be alot of grumpy people

    you need luck, and quick fingers
    NO TIME TO BE VOID OR SAVE UP ON LIFE, YOU GOT TO SPEND IT ALL!!!!!!!

    No... he's right.. a majority of tickets are sold to agencies long before we have a chance to get them. Look at the TM "partner" site Tickects now. They have over 250 tickets for Boston 8/1/08. Thats a 10th of the total tickets for that 2500 seat venue. Not to mention the other agencies that already have tickets also like the agency that owns bostonoperahouse.com (Acetickets). And 250 that goes to 10C for "fans". It just a big scam that nobody seems to be able to change. It's just sad...................

    You have to use some strategy to get hot tickets from Ticketbastard.

    1) Have a fast PC.
    2) Have a fast internet connection.
    3) Be right on time. You MUST be hitting the event page at the moment the tix go on sale.
    4) Use two or more browsers at the same time. When you get 'no seats available' figure out how you can quickly get in to try again. It helps if you can type the security codes really fast.
    5) If you strike out asking for 4 tickets, drop back to 3, 2 or one within a few minutes, or you'll be shut out completely. Also, if the venue has different seating area choices, pick a specific area, don't just ask for 'best available'.

    I started out asking for 4 seats for Chicago 2. After three minutes, I gave up and went for 2, 'best available'. After two more minutes, I hit the dropdown and asked specifically for 1st balcony. Bingo, I got two seats. Not great seats, but I'm in.
    I'm starting to believe that this hopeless situation is what I'm trying to achieve.....

    Either way it's a shame to have to fight for these things like this.

    i got two. however, they were bought at 11am.

    the theater only holds 4K people, and there are 8million people in the area. yeah, its a tough ticket.

    Very true, I once tried to get Wilco tickets through a pre-sale and everytime I went through "Best Available" it would say nothing is left, but if you picked "GA" it would direct you to tickets. Must b a glitch or something.

    Anyway, got through for Chi Night 2, only got 1 ticket but its Orchetra.
