The great room

The room spilled open
the pillows
they all slowly flew away
all so small
feathers all a going
confused peacocks humming pulling the lead
a sparkling flight
all sailing off on a clumsy murmur

Feeling lost
and undone
the clearing opened like a tale
all the ceilings
vast and close
arced with
broken down coastal shrubs
and mushroom patches designed by rainbows or gifts

She wouldn’t let me arch over
until the beveled glass fell
from grace
for poetry through the ceiling. ISBN: 1 4241 8840 7

"Hear me, my chiefs!
I am tired; my heart is
sick and sad. From where
the sun stands I will fight
no more forever."
