Here's a live bootleg EP I made of my friend who is signed to EMI Ireland. He was in a band called TURN for years, who were rather popular in Ireland, and is now solo. If you fancy listening to something new, give it a whirl. Gavin Fox (ex-Idlewild bassist) is playing bass, and Binzer, the original drummer for the Frames, is drumming on it. There's a cover of Like a Hurricane on it, too, if you like Neil Young. All info is in the text file.
If you fancy giving a chance to something new, or you're just bored, give it a whirl:

And Irish folk, he's playing that new joint, the Workman's Club in Dublin on October 23rd if you fancy a good gig. 12 Euro. I went to the venue the other day, it's actually really cool. A bit Whelan's like in terms of clientel. It looks like it used to be some sort of Georgian-era house. Weird, but a great vibe in the club in there.

It's a cel-e-bray-shun, folks! TURN at the Music Centre in Dublin on December 21, and TURN at the Spirit Store in Dundalk on December 30! To celebrate, here's a new creation..."Before the Picnic...Before the Doors"...my audience recording of the boys' recent show in Whelan's on August 31st. The first part is "Before the Picnic"-the complete Whelan's show. The second part is "Before the Doors" a severely edited version of the soundcheck. You get 5 songs...the soundcheck was originally 100-120 minutes, most of which was also taped. This download includes photographs from both the show and soundcheck (taken by myself, too), and full information text files for both parts. Enjoy and feel free to circulate these to whomever...especially folks who need reminding how good this band is...and folks who need a little reminder to get to these upcoming December shows! Enjoy...
